Cruising Restart - The Wait is OVER!!!

September 22, 2021

Cruising has restarted and going very very well! I have taken groups to Alaska on Royal Caribbean and Bahamian Escape on Crystal Cruises. The ships are going our less than 50% occupancy, this is the time to go. Last week on Crystal the ship holds 900 passnegers and there were 230 of us. Exceptional all inclusve cruise and 6 star service with the lowest rates I have ever seen in 22 years. Call me today to take advantage of these bottomed out prices, it's a shame but we are just trying to get the cruises back. Most cruise lines require vaccinations, they are safe and not having covid issues, they are testing prior to boarding and on board when needed. They have contact tracing bracelets on board so very safe. Hope to hear from you soon!

July 9, 2021

The cruise lines will no longer allow us to do your bpoarding passes and documents. Everything must be done on the app on smart phone. Here is an instructional document from Royal Caribbean:

June 23rd Update:

Royal Caribbean:

For the month of July sailing on Freedom of the Seas from Florida if you choose not to show vaccination card for those 16 and older will need to undergo RT-PCR administerd by accredited provider within 3 days of sailing. on Boarding Day you will need to do RT-PCR testing and will be charged to your onboard account.

Mask must be worn when indoors unless seated and actively eating or drinking for those not vaccinated.

There will be fewer guests onboard and proper spacing. Venues and events are restricted to vaccinated guests only.

Enterainment - select showtimes for those who are vacinnated vs non-vaccinated

Passport Books only and must be good for 6 months after last day of embarkation. Passport cards are not accepted.

Celebrity Cruises:

For cruises from Florida, Celebrity now recommends that anyone 16 years and older be vaccinated. And while the cruise line cannot require proof of vaccination to sail, guests who decline or are unable to show proof of vaccination at boarding "will be treated as unvaccinated and subject to additional protocols, restrictions, and costs for Covid-19 testing."

The additional requirements for unvaccinated guests includes 4 tests: a PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival at the terminal, an antigen test at the pier and two antigen tests onboard -- one mid-sailing and the other at the end of the cruise. The total cost for the tests is $178 per person.

Guests declining to show proof of vaccination will also have to wear masks at all times onboard except while eating or drinking. Depending on local government requirements, they may be restricted from going ashore.

And, unvaccinated guests will have designated seating areas in some public venues.

In contrast, vaccinated guests do not have to wear masks onboard and will not be charged for the re-entry test required to return to the U.S. at the end of the cruise.

June 18th Update:

This is the latest pertaining only to operations for Mardi Gras July 31, 2021 & August Sailings. Please read the following details about pre-cruise and onboard protocols and procedures.

We expect to follow the below Have Fun. Be Safe. guidelines:

• Guest, including age-eligible children will need to be vaccinated and proof will be required at embarkation.

• Vaccinated guests will not be required to wear masks and physical distance on board. Masks will be required in the cruise terminal.

• Vaccinated guests will may participate in Carnival tours or independent activities, but all guests will be required to follow local protocols of our destination.

A Know Before You Go email will be sent to you the week before sailing with additional information on embarkation related matters.

Guests who are ineligible or unable to meet the vaccination requirements are being provided with a link to submit their request for consideration for a vaccine exemption. Only a small number of guests will be considered for the exemption and it will be most children un 12. Submissions must be received by June 25. Confirmations will not be provided until after June 21, when final payment is received and we have certainty on the total number of guests on board (allowing us to determine the number of exemptions).

Royal Caribbean International has shared the latest protocols with guests sailing aboard Freedom of the Seas this July from Miami. Of note? Guests will not need to be vaccinated; however, those who aren’t will have to undergo a series of three COVID-19 tests before and during the sailing.

In its guest communication, Royal Caribbean “strongly recommends” all guests 16 and over be fully vaccinated before sailing (at least two weeks must be past since their final dose to be considered “fully vaccinated”). At check-in, guests will be asked to provide documentation of their vaccination, such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. Those who do not have or are unable to provide documentation will be considered unvaccinated, according to the cruise line.

Unvaccinated guests must undergo additional COVID-19 testing at their own expense, and follow additional health protocols, which are based on guidance from the CDC.

Pre-cruise, unvaccinated guests 16 and older must undergo an RT-PCR test administered by an accredited lab of their choice, taken within three days of sailing. Documentation will be required, and costs are at the guest’s expense. At the terminal, all unvaccinated guests two years of age and older are required to take an RT-PCR test, which will be administered by one of Royal Caribbean’s testing vendors. Registration details will be sent via email in advance. Lastly, prior to disembarking, guests two and older who are not vaccinated will undergo antigen testing within 24 hours of the end of the voyage, conducted by the cruise line’s testing vendors.

The tests at the terminal and onboard cost $136 and will be charged to guests’ onboard account.

“If you do not wish to undergo or pay for additional testing, or adhere to these health and safety protocols, we are happy to provide you with a refund,” Royal Caribbean said in its communication.

While Royal Caribbean will be requiring all guests 16 and older to be vaccinated on other sailings, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an Executive Order prohibiting businesses that operate in the state from requiring vaccinations from its patrons.

Onboard Protocols

Royal Caribbean added that onboard, both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests will be required to wear face masks indoors unless seated and actively eating and drinking. They are not required in staterooms, outdoors or at Perfect Day at CocoCay “unless in a crowded setting.” Vaccinated guests will not have to wear face coverings in venues or at events designated for vaccinated guests.

Venues onboard will be set up with proper spacing; it is recommended to make dining reservations before your cruise. Shows will have dedicated performances for vaccinated guests. There will also be fewer guests on board. When on shore, all guests are subject to the mandates from local authorities.

June 16th:

The European Union is recommending that its 27 member countries start lifting restrictions on tourists from the United States.
